Sharon R. Witt

Sharon R. Witt, a long-time resident of Francesville, passed away on Jan. 24. Sharon is now reunited with her husband of 53 years, Norman Witt, who passed in 2016.

Sharon was born on Aug. 1, 1943, in Culver, to Lawrence and Martha Lindvall. She married Norman Witt in 1962 and they owned Witt Insurance Agency in Francesville. They were both very active in the community for more than 35 years. 

Sharon enjoyed living in Sebring, Florida, for the past 20 years and never knew a stranger. She loved to dance, socialize and enjoyed the warm sunshine. She always had a smile and will be missed. 

Sharon is beloved and remembered by her daughter Rebecca [David] Baker, grandchildren: Christopher, Nathan [Hannah], Lauren Baker; her son Allen [Jane] Witt, grandchildren: Sarah and Emma Witt; sisters-in-law: Janet Lindvall, Barb Donley and Dorajean Keller; brother-in-law John Banning; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers Larry Lindvall and Doug Lindvall; and sister Marsha Banning. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
