Sally Ann Marszalik

July 27, 1935 — Sept. 15, 2020

Sally Ann Marszalik, 85, of Winamac, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at her home. 

She was born on July 27, 1935, in Chicago, to the late John and Mary (Mrozek) Czyzyk. She was baptized on Aug. 4, 1935, at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Chicago. Sally married Joseph Stanley Marszalik, Jr. on Oct. 29, 1955, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Chicago. He passed away on June 20, 2008. 

Sally was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church where she taught CCD for many years and was fondly known as “Mrs. M.” She was a former member of the Christian Mothers. 

Sally was a hard worker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked alongside her husband on the farm and was also a caregiver for several individuals over the years. She loved to cook and spend time with her three grandsons and great-grandson. Sally will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah [Chris] Rogers of Winamac; grandsons: Dakota, Dalton and Ethan; great-grandson Blayden; brother William [Ruth] Czyzyk of Lombard, Illinois; brother-in-law Frank Marszalik of Chicago; sister-in-law Rose Mari Tynski of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews. 

Sally was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary (Mrozek) Czyzyk; husband Joseph Stanley Marszalik Jr.; brothers: Edward Czyzyk and John Czyzyk; one infant sister; aunt Jenny Lascody; and father and mother-in-law Joseph Stanley and Mary (Kula) Marszalik Sr.

Visitation was from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A funeral service followed at 6 p.m. Pastor Aaron Woodruff officiated. A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Rev. Daniel Shine officiated. Burial took place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac.
