Richard C. “Dick” Dillman

May 7, 1936 — May 13, 2020

Richard C. “Dick” Dillman, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 13. 

He was born in Logansport on May 7, 1936, the son of Ernest and Gertrude Dillman. He was a 1954 graduate of Lucerne High School. He was a retired bulk milk hauler. On July 13, 1963, he was married to Patsy Shidler Dillman, who survives.

Dick enjoyed collecting antique glassware. He also had a passion for collecting and restoring antique John Deere tractors and collecting John Deere memorabilia. His greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, most of it while sharing a meal or drinking coffee at the kitchen table. He had a great sense of humor and always liked to tease both family and friends. He had many fond memories of his dairy farm patrons.

Dick is survived by four sons: James of Indianapolis, Brian of Francesville, Daniel [Sherrie] of Star City, and Benjamin [Karrie] of Francesville; two daughters: Marcia [Fred] Mancilla of Monon, and Holly [Arturo] Aragon of Monon; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Marcia Gates and Sandra Goble; and grandsons: Brock Dillman and Keegan Dillman.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions mandated by the State of Indiana, private family services will be held, with burial to follow in the Bedford Cemetery in Monon.
