Rachel Catherine (Murray) Williams

Rachel Catherine (Murray) Williams, 37, of Winamac, went home to be with the Lord at 2:11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne. 

Rachel was born on Feb. 20, 1978, in Winamac, to the late Steven and Kristine (Lawrence) Murray. She graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1997. Rachel had worked as a bank teller at Alliance Bank in Winamac before becoming disabled in a car accident.

Rachel was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Winamac. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music, being on the Internet, a good cup of coffee, and watching old TV shows and movies. She loved her little dog, Sparky.

Rachel was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She loved her children very much. 

Survivors include her daughters: Taylor Moss of Winamac, and Shawna Williams of Winamac; son Tristan Williams of Winamac; parents Barb [Mike] Newman of Winamac; brothers: Kevin Williamson of Logansport, David [Darlene] Olds of Winamac, Justin Olds of Knox, Vick [Bev] Daugherty of Winamac, Dan [Stacie] Daugherty of Morocco, and Chris Newman of Shelburn; sisters: Margaret Murray-Olds of Winamac, and Jessica Olds of Logansport; stepmother Carmin Olds; stepsister Amy Minix; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her birth father Steven Murray; birth mother Kristine (Lawrence) Murray Olds; and stepfather Jeffrey Scott Olds.

Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 29, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at Frain Mortuary. Rev. Thomas Hopewell officiated. Private burial took place in Mt. Zion-Franklin Township Cemetery, Winamac.
