Phyllis D. Williams

Phyllis D. Williams, 62, of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 30, at her home. 

Phyllis was born on May 17, 1955, in Knox, to the late Bert and Eva Mae Begley Williams. She spent the early part of her life in Medaryville and moved to Logansport in the early 2000s. Phyllis worked many years at Mott’s Liquor Store in Medaryville. She enjoyed flowers and plants and had a real green thumb. Phyllis loved her family very much and will be sadly missed.

Phyllis is survived by sisters: Janice Kain of Winamac, Lois [Chuck] Baird of Santa Barbara, California, and Cathy Wilhelm of Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Bert and Eva Mae Begley Williams; sister Brenda Buckalew; brothers-in-law: Tom Kain and Mike Wilhelm; and nephew Uriah Dobson.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville. Private burial will take place at White Post Cemetery in Medaryville.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Foundation or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
