Omagene Bailey Dulin

Nov. 17, 1927 — Aug. 23, 2020

 Omagene Bailey Dulin, 92, of Medaryville, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Rensselaer Care Center in Rensselaer. 

She was born on Nov. 17, 1927, in Ivyton, Kentucky, to Wiley and Martha Mae (Hopkins) Bailey. On Jan. 27, 1946, Omagene married Wilbur Earl Dulin. Wilbur died on Feb. 23, 1998, after 52 years of marriage.

Omagene was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Wheatfield. She was an active member; teaching Sunday school, singing in the church choir, and participating in the ladies ministry. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 96 of the American Legion in Medaryville. Omagene worked at Northway Products in Rensselaer. She retired after 25 years. Omagene was an animal lover and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the babies. 

She is survived by her daughters: Sue Ann Dolezal of North Judson, Tammy Toosley of Medaryville, and Martha “Becky” [Robert] Luzadder of Rensselaer; sons: Chester Earl [Debbie] Dulin of Hobart, Sidney [Lavon] Dulin of Medaryville, and Harold Dulin of Medaryville; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; brothers: William [Connie] Bailey of Valparaiso, and Kenneth [Betty] Bailey of Knox; and sister Cornelia (Estel) Fairchild of North Judson. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Earl Dulin; parents Wiley and Martha Mae (Hopkins) Bailey; son-in-law Lawrence Toosley; grandsons: Patrick Dulin and Wesley Dolezal; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters; four brothers; and her beloved dogs: Abby and Toby. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 4-9 p.m. at the Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville, with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating. Burial will be at the Independence Cemetery in Medaryville.
