Norine R. Green

Norine R. Green, 52, of Star City, went to rest in Heaven at 2:33 p.m. Monday, July 11. 

She passed away with her family by her side at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. 

Norine was born on May 28, 1964, in Hazen, North Dakota. 

Norine and her family moved to Star City in 2002. She had been a former resident of Kentucky, Georgia, and North Dakota.

Norine had a deep faith in God and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a strong woman and fought her battle until the end. She will be sadly missed. 

Survivors include her daughter Erin A. [Kenneth] Daren of Star City; sons: Joshua C. Green of Star City, Willard A. Green of Star City, and Jeremiah W. Green of Star City; grandsons: Blake Hedger and Adin Daren; granddaughters: Liberty Daren and Zoey Marie Daren; sisters: Lois [Bob] Sipes of Indiana, and MaryAnn [Darrell] Navratil of Iowa; and brothers: Kerry [Anna] Knecht of North Dakota, and Kim [Michelle] Knecht of North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents Helmuth and Arlene (Pittsely) Knecht.  

Visitation was from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Frain Mortuary. Funeral services were held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. Rev. Thomas Hopewell officiated. Private burial will take place at a later date in Star City West Cemetery, Star City.

Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
