Michael Wayne Nuss
Michael Wayne Nuss, 30, of Bourbon, (formerly Winamac) passed away at 10:22 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, in Bourbon as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1984, in Valparaiso. He spent most of his life in Winamac and attended Winamac Community High School. Michael was employed as a welder and painter at Dragon ESP in Akron.
Michael enjoyed fishing and spend time with his two sons, who were his world. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his sons: David Nuss and Gabriel Nuss, of Bourbon; fiancee Misty Rooney of Bourbon; mother Davon Annette [Rich] Doty of Winamac; sisters: Tammy [Jerry] Pratt of Francesville, Jodie [Jeremy] Toot of Logansport, Tracy Nuss of Logansport, and Brandie Doty of Warsaw; brothers: Keith Nuss of New Carlisle, Robert Nuss of Chesterton, Jeffery Fowler of Logansport and Richie Doty of Lafayette; maternal grandparents Roberta [Jeffery] Dehnart of Winamac; paternal grandmother Melody Doty of Winamac; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Frain Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Frain Mortuary with Rev. Laura Bailey officiating. Private burial will take place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
