Melissa “Mae” Agee

Melissa “Mae” Agee, 71, of Winamac passed away at 2:22 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2023, at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac.

Born on Dec. 18, 1951, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Julie (Bailey) Agee.

Melissa was a former member of the Indiana National Guard. She also formerly worked at Arby’s in Winamac.

Melissa, “Mae Mae” to many, loved unicorns and children. She enjoyed crocheting also. She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Delong. 

Survivors include her sisters: Delores “Lorsie” [Jimmie] Stone of North Judson, Bonnie [Thomas] Zimmerman of North Judson, and Peggy Mays of Plymouth; brother, Jed [Dorothy] Agee of Lalanto, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Dorothy “Dot” Rose and Arlett Hiese; and brothers: Earden Agee, William Riley Agee and Richard Agee.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 13  at 1 p.m. at the Gospel Lighthouse Church, 5823 Center St. in Delong. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, Royal Center.
