Martha Lou Forest

April 17, 1929 — Nov. 2, 2018

Martha Lou Forest, 89, died at 2:19 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, at the Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. 

She was born on April 17, 1929, in Akron, to the late Ellis and Floral (Snoke) Lamb. On Feb. 2, 1952, she married Fred C. Forest in Winamac. Fred preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2005.

Martha was a former employee at Switch Co. in Leiters Ford. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church in Bruce Lake, and a Red Cross volunteer. 

Martha enjoyed crocheting, gardening and traveling. She was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Braves. 

She is survived by her daughters: Cynthia [Otto Ritter] Anderson of Winamac, and Tamera [Donald] Ploss of Winamac; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ellis and Floral (Snoke) Lamb; husband Fred C. Forest; one brother; and three sisters. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Butch Wildermuth officiating. Burial will take place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski Health Care Center Activities Fund in Winamac.
