Marie P. Reinhold

Marie Phyllis Reinhold, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, Feb. 8, at Greencroft Health Care.

She was born Nov. 5, 1930, in North Chicago, Illinois, to Harry and Wanda (Dandowski) Bruhns.

After attending St. Ignance Academy, she went to Purdue University where she met Hubert P. Reinhold in 1948. They were married July 2, 1950, in Ladoga. Marie went on to further her education at Canterbury College and Indiana University.

Marie loved reading the Bible. She was in her fourth reading last week. Proverbs was her favorite book. She was involved in Tri Kappa sorority, the Lafayette Crisis Center telephone program, her church and Bible study for 15 years.

Survivors include her husband Hubert P. Reinhold; daughter Rachelle [Russell] Sattler of Two Harbors, Minnesota; son Mark Reinhold of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters: Janet Kroll and Zena Swets, both of Chicago; and brothers: Melvyn [July] Bruhns of Elmhurst, Illinois, and Frank [Gladys) Bruhns of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by a son Kevin Reinhold; brothers: Karl, Fredrich and Merwyn Bruhns; daughter-in-law Cheryl Reinhold; and grandson Ryan Scott Sattler.

Visitation was Friday, Feb. 13, from 4-7 p.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen. A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at LifePoint Church, 1006 S. 16th Street, Goshen. Pastor Troy Scott officiated. Lunch followed the service. Burial will be at a later date in Winamac at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Goshen Boys and Girls Club and to Elkhart County 4-H Club program.
