Margaret E. Browning Arnold

Margaret E. Browning Arnold, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Winamac, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 10. She passed away at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. 

Margaret was born on Aug. 17, 1934, in Anderson, to the late Benjamin and Nellie (Morgan) Finfrock. She graduated from Anderson High School and worked as a manager at Western Union in Anderson for many years. On Jan. 13, 1962, Margaret married George Browning in Anderson. Following George’s retirement, the couple moved to Winamac and enjoyed life on the Tippecanoe River. George passed away on June 26, 1995. Margaret worked several years at the Pulaski County Extension Office and was a member of the Winamac First United Methodist Church. 

On Jan. 3, 1998, Margaret married George Arnold in Winamac. He passed away on Nov. 20, 2011. In 2019, Margaret moved to Florida with her family. Margaret enjoyed studying the Bible and loved her family dearly. Most of all, she was faithful to her Lord. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughters: Bonnie Kauffman of Anderson, and Brenda Adams of Lawton, Oklahoma; sons: Robert [Peggy] Browning of Port Charlotte, Florida, and George [Donna] Arnold Jr. of Newnan, Georgia; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Nellie (Morgan) Finfrock; husbands: George Browning and George Arnold; one infant sister; and one infant brother. 

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Riverbank Cemetery in Winamac.
