Lowell T. Stout
Lowell T. Stout, 75, of Star City, went home to be with the Lord at 1:36 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, surrounded by his family at home.
Lowell was born Sept. 9, 1942, in Medaryville, to the late Burl and Fern (Roberts) Stout. He was raised on a farm near Medaryville with many siblings. At a young age, he was stricken with polio. Although this left him disabled, he lived a full life.
Lowell enjoyed western movies, country music and reading the newspaper. He was a regular at Kostas for breakfast. Lowell loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his sisters: Lovilla Tetzloff of Sturgis, Michigan, Ruth Oliver of Valparaiso, Shirley [Jim] Dunkel of Lagrange, Carol Pinks of Francesville; brothers: Leroy [Maggie] Stout, Mark [Sherry] Stout and Devon Stout, all of Star City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Burl and Fern (Roberts) Stout; brothers Arnold Stout and George Stout; sisters Roberta Johns and Darlene Kay Johns; brothers-in-law Charles Pinks and Hugh Tetzloff; sisters-in-law Edris Stout and Bonnie Stout; nephew Michael Jones and niece-in-law Wanda Stout.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 4-8 p.m. at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. Pastor Heath Hiatt will be officiating. Burial will take place at Koster Cemetery in Francesville.
