Loren Perry Cheadle

March 31, 1922 — Nov. 17, 2017

Loren Perry Cheadle, 95, of Winamac, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac. 

Loren was born on March 31, 1922, in Chicago, to the late Tom and Bethely (DeMiere) Cheadle. On Aug. 17, 1946, Loren married June E. Johnson in Oak Lawn. June died Jan. 16, 2013.

Loren served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in Germany and France. He was retired from the William Wrigley Jr. Co. in Chicago.

Loren and June moved from Chicago to Winamac in 1984.

Loren loved riding his bicycle, swimming and diving. He was an avid Cubs fan and would skip work to go the Cubs games. Loren also enjoyed playing pool.

He is survived by his friend Marsha Gearhart of Winamac. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife June E. Cheadle. 

Visitation was 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Father Terry officiated. Burial took place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac. The VFW and American Legion conducted military graveside services. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski Health Care Center Activities Fund or the Panhandle Pathway.
