Kenneth Schultz

March 23, 1945 — Jan. 15, 2022

Kenneth Edward Schultz, 76, of Lyndeborough, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of his wife, son, and dog, Dooley, at The Arbors in Bedford on Jan. 15. He was born in Lacrosse on March 23, 1945, and was the son of Edward and Ruth (Earle) Schultz.

Ken grew up in Medaryville. He graduated from Purdue University in 1967 with a degree in agriculture and education. He taught vocational agriculture in Indiana before joining the U.S. Navy in 1972, serving on the aircraft carrier USS America working on aircraft radar. After the Navy he worked for Agency Records Control (ARC) in College Station, Texas, relocating to New England where he retired after 25 years. He returned to his passion for teaching and helped adults earn their GED. Ken worked as a direct support professional for The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc. (IPPI) assisting an individual with special needs where they spent the days traveling, hiking, and other adventures.

Ken’s hobbies were weaving, beekeeping, gardening, raising angora rabbits, fishing and spending time at the lake. He was a member of Peterborough United Methodist Church participating in many committees, classes and activities. His church and faith were a very important part of his life.

Ken is survived by his wife Charlene of 36 years; son Jason [Vanessa]; granddaughters: Adair and Ashlyn; brothers: Jerry [Dolly], Mike [Donna], and Ray [Joan]; sister Becky [Bob]; brother-in-law Clancy; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Ken will be scheduled in the spring.
