Kenneth E. Warmbrod
Kenneth E. Warmbrod, 84, Rochester, passed away at 12:51 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1932, in Winamac, the son of John and Lela (Tillotson) Warmbrod. On Oct. 21, 1951, in Winamac, he married Dorothy Young and she survives.
Early in life, Mr. Warmbrod had worked for Tri-City Electric, Hammond, had worked on the family farm and had transported canned milk for Crystal Dairy. He retired as owner/operator of his own trucking operation. He had been a member of the Teamsters union, former Moose Lodge member and was a member of the Fulton County Historical Power Association. In his spare time he enjoyed restoring tractors, riding his motorcycles, hauling sand and dirt for various customers and traveling.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Warmbrod of Rochester; son Mike [Sylvia] Warmbrod of Decatur, Illinois; daughters: Kathy [David] Isbell, Carolyn [Jim] Pennell, Melinda [Robert] Styles, all of Rochester; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Carl Warmbrod; and sisters: Vera Warmbrod and Velma Blackburn.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, and one hour prior to service Thursday, May 18, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac.
