Joshua T. Wolfe, 32, of Winamac, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 17, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac. 

He was born on Sept. 16, 1984, in Winamac to Ted and Karen Wolfe. Josh had attended Winamac Community High School and El-Tip-Wa Area Vocational School, where he was trained as a welder, a job he enjoyed. He was most recently employed at Gal-Fab, and had also worked at Dragon Esp. and Terry Trucking. Josh was a hard worker.

Josh enjoyed spending time on the Tippecanoe River, especially floating, fishing and swimming. He enjoyed spending time with people and was very outgoing and social. He liked cookouts, tattoos, cutting hair, races and working with his hands. He had a very big heart to help others.

Josh was a loving father, son and brother. Family was very important to him. He was a devoted father who loved his children very much. He was also proud to be a “mommy’s boy.”

Josh will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents Theodore R. “Ted” and Karen A. (Shidler) Wolfe of Winamac; son Tyler T. Wolfe of Rochester; daughter Riley L. Wolfe of Rochester; fiance Jennifer Haines of Winamac; stepson Hayden Haines of Winamac; brothers: TJ [Rachel] Wolfe of Winamac, Jeff [Laura] Wolfe of Winamac, Joe [Abby Marshall] Wolfe of Winamac, and Moe [Vonda Williams] Wolfe of Winamac; sister Melissa [Kevin] Taylor of Winamac; maternal grandfather Larry “Bean” Shidler of Winamac; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He is preceded in death by maternal grandmother Geneva (Hines) Shidler; paternal grandparents Edward and Jeanette (Thomes) Wolfe; uncles Paul Mulcare and Glenn Cole; and aunts: Jackie Beard and Cheryl Mulcare. 

Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25,  at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Pastor Heath Hiatt officiating.  Private burial will take place at Mt. Zion-Franklin Township Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
