John J. Cappadora

John J. Cappadora Jr., 70, of Winamac, passed away at noon, Saturday, May 2, at his residence.

Born on Dec. 7, 1944, in Chicago, he was the son of the late John J. and June (Gore) Cappadora Sr.

On May 29, 1999, he married Kay Marie Lewis and she preceded him in death on March 10, 2009.

John retired from Amtrak in Chicago. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his dogs.

John is survived by stepson, Andre Lewis and special friends, Donald Hedger and Trina Garbison, of Winamac.

He is also preceded in death by his parents John J. and June (Gore) Cappadora Sr.; and brother Anthony Cappadora.

Visitation will be 2-3 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, at Harrison-Metzger and Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.
