Jayne J. Overmyer

Jayne J. Overmyer, 83, of Winamac, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Life Care Center of Rochester. 

Jayne was born on April 3, 1933, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles and Marian (Keating) Jetter. She was baptized at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Oil City. She was a 1951 graduate of Oil City High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Villa Maria College in Erie, Pennsylvania. Jayne served as chief dietitian for the Cleveland Browns football team while employed at Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio. She retired in 1981 after working more than 25 years as a dietitian at various hospitals in Ohio and Indiana. Jayne loved to read and watch her soap operas. She took great pride in helping her mother raise her siblings, Charles and Judy. 

Survivors include her sisters: Margaret Jetter of Oil City, Pennsylvania, and Martha Marsh of Rochester, Michigan; and brother Charles Jetter of Rockford. 

She is in Heaven with her parents Charles and Marian (Keating) Jetter; and her sister Judy Crane.

Visitation was 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Memorial services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiated.
