James V. Hott

Dec. 20, 1949 — April 2, 2017

James V. Hott, 67, of Kewanna, passed away at 3:25 p.m., Sunday, April 2, at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1949, in Pulaski County, the son of John V. and Mary Martha (Sensibaugh) Hott. On Sept. 17, 1970, in Denham, he married Rebecca “Becky” Field and she survives.

Mr. Hott had been a truck driver for many years, retiring from Americo Trucking in Bremen. He had been a member of the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association and retired from the Kewanna –Union Township Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and telling jokes with his friends.

Survivors include his wife Becky Hott of Kewanna; children: Nicole “Nikki” Hott Lowry [Chuck Felda] of Kewanna, Leslie [Aaron] Henderson of Mannheim, Pennsylvania, and James Paul Hott of Kewanna; grandchildren: Amelia Lowry and Delaney Lowry, both of Kewanna, Alex [Jade] Henderson of Manheim, Pennsylvania, Calvin Henderson of Manheim, Pennsylvania, and Victoria “Tori” Henderson of Manheim, Pennsylvania; mother Mary Martha Hott of Rochester; brothers: John “Jack” [Prudence] Hott of Rochester, and Joseph [Gwen] Hott of Kewanna; and sister Dianne Sheets of Akron. 

He was preceded in death by his father; sister Melody Sue Hott; and brother Michael Hott.

No services are scheduled at this time. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kewanna-Union Township Volunteer Fire Department.
