James Joseph Jones
James Joseph Jones, 90, of Winamac (formerly of Logansport), passed away Saturday, March 4. Jim was born on July 26, 1926, in Royal Center, to the late Howard and Thelma (Huffman) Jones.
On Oct. 1, 1945, he married Joan Lowe in Logansport. She survives. Jim served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Elks Lodge. Jim was a co-founder of Jones Brothers Construction, Engineering Construction Corporation, Engineering Aggregates Corporation, and Standard Auto Parts.
He is survived by his wife Joan Lowe Jones of Winamac; daughters: Jill [Bruce] Brumm of Winamac, Judi [Peter] Keay of Owosso, Michigan, and Jody [Mike] Petrie of Carmel; son Joe Jones of Logansport; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Thelma (Huffman) Jones; sister Jayne Porter; and brother William C. Jones.
Private family services will be held.
