Harold T. Posthuma

Harold T. Posthuma, 79, of Monterey, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Logansport Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Harold was born on Aug. 12, 1935, in Illinois, to the late Garrett and Florence (Kennedy) Posthuma.

Harold served in the U.S. Army. He was a former member of the American Legion.

He worked for United Telephone Company for more than 40 years.

Harold enjoyed restoring John Deere Tractors. He liked NASCAR, old westerns and Ford trucks.

Harold liked to have a good time and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include daughters: Rae [Jeff] Bonnell of Monticello, and Cindy [Tom] Kasten of Winamac; son Tim [Darci] Posthuma of Warsaw; grandsons: Brian [Tammy] Bonnell, Shawn [Jessica] Bonnell, and Shay [Heather] Kasten; granddaughters: Shanna [Derek] Bonnell, Britni [Carson] Posthuma VandenBossche and Kelsi Posthuma; great-granddaughters: Peyton Bonnell, Ally Bonnell, Raegan Kasten and Kinzie Bonnell; great-grandsons: Ty Bonnell and Brody Bonnell; and brother Jim Posthuma of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents Garrett and Florence (Kennedy) Posthuma; and brother Garrett Posthuma.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family.
