Hannah M. Dommer
Hannah M. Dommer, 92, of Winamac, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Winamac.
She was born on June 24, 1933 in Francesville, to the late William and Minnie (Doll) Garling. Hannah graduated from Francesville High School in 1951. On Aug. 15, 1953, she married Donald G. Dommer in Winamac. They recently celebrated 72 years of marriage. Don passed away on Oct. 27, 2025. The Dommers were longtime members of St. Luke Lutheran Church and served their church faithfully throughout the years.
Hannah loved being homemaker and did so with a smile on her face. Her family brought her great joy, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hannah will be deeply missed by all who know and loved her.
She is survived by daughter Kim Goodridge, Kokomo; son Mark [Jodie] Dommer, Winamac; grandsons: Jonathan [Angel] Goodridge, Kyle [Ashleigh Finley] Goodridge, Josh [Michele Nowatzke] Dommer, Jacob [Brooke] Dommer, Waylon [Kim] Burke and Justin [Danielle] Dommer; and granddaughter Alisha [Jeff] Becker; 11 great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Nicholas, Eli, Isabella, Braylen, Reed, Peyton, Paxton, Taylor, Cooper, and Elsie; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents: William and Minnie (Doll) Garling; husband Donald G. Dommer; son-in-law David Goodridge; sister Edith Tucker; and brother Robert Garling.
Cremation will take place at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Creek Nursing Home or Dunes Hospice.
