Glenn L. “Larry” Carlson

Glenn L. “Larry” Carlson, 74, of North Judson, died Thursday, Sept. 24, in North Judson.

My best friend has passed away. Larry suffered with heart disease for a long time. He was a wonderful husband and I will miss him all the days of my life.

Larry was born Friday, Feb. 14, 1941, in Buffalo, to Theodore Carlson and Maudie (Kahler) Carlson.

Larry loved working for the Fulton-Marshall Co. Co-Op and gardening. He also loved IU basketball and the Green Bay Packers.

He also enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table, with his best buddy Ichabod the cat, to drink coffee and play Nintendo DS every morning. It was a sight to see.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years Teresa (White) Carlson of North Judson; sons; Tim [Nancy] Carlson of Kewanna, and Tedd [Julie] Carlson of Fort Wayne; daughters: Glenda [Rex] Urbin of Kewanna, and Cindy [Fred] Shayler of Hamlet, North Carolina; brother Richard [Vicki] Carlson of Lafontaine; sister Mary [Bill] Henry of Royal Center; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents “Beech” and Maudie Carlson.

Friends were received 4-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson. Services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Denham, Monday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. Rev. Mark Fakhi officiated. Interment followed in Highland Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund.
