Gailmarie L. Ayers

July 30, 1960 — June 14, 2015

Gailmarie L. Ayers, 54, of Star City, passed away unexpectedly at 5:27 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Gail was born July 30, 1960, in Logansport.

She was a talented bartender and was employed at T-Bones/T-Roys in Royal Center, for 18 years. Most recently, she had been employed at the VFW in Winamac.

Gail was very fond of her dog Miles. She enjoyed dancing, listening to country music, and going to concerts. She especially enjoyed being outside, whether it be gardening or taking a walk.

Gail was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family even if it meant she would have to make a personal sacrifice. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughters: Amanda [Neal] Fry of Logansport, Crystal M. [Steven] Duncan of Logansport, and April L. Ayers of Logansport; granddaughters: Shayla Duncan and Alexus Clark; grandson Xavier Clark; mother Dolores M. Grizzell of Winamac; sisters: Cherylann Johnson of Macomb, Illinois, and Carrielynn Huse of Winn, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and former husband Charles “Chuck” Ayers of Logansport.

She was preceded in death by her son John Allen Wilson and stepfather Si Grizzell.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Frain Mortuary, with Rev. Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will take place in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.
