Freda Ann Lloyd

Freda Ann Lloyd, 71, of Star City, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.

She was born March 28, 1943, in Silver Point, Tennessee, to Ellis and Flora (Coleman) Clemons.

Freda married Sheldon Lloyd on May 29, 1959. He passed away July 21, 1975. She then married Homer Martindale on Feb. 3, 1979, in Clinton. Homer passed away on Oct. 27, 2013.

She was a member of Yorktown Church of Christ, Logansport. Freda was the former owner of F&S Service Company.

She loved to read and to go to the Family Y in Logansport with her friend Ann Shideler. She also enjoyed mushroom hunting.

Freda also loved to spend time with her grandson Adrian.

Survivors include her daughter Shanna N. Lloyd of Winamac; grandson Adrian Chupp of Winamac; and nephews: Allen Bolin of Logansport, and Kevin Clemons of Korea.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ellis D. and Flora Alice (Coleman) Clemons; first husband Sheldon Lloyd; second husband Homer Martindale; daughter Lisa Lloyd; brother Allon Clemons; and sister Barbara Bolin.

Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Frain Mortuary. Mark Racop officiated. Burial took place in Star City West Cemetery, Star City.
