Eula Irene Cotner

Eula Irene Cotner, 85, of Winamac, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.

She was born July 13, 1930, in Winamac, to William and Effie (Geiger) Degner.

Eula married Donald D. Cotner on Jan. 27, 1952, in Winamac. Don survives.

She was a homemaker and former employee of the Rice Corporation.

Eula golfed in the women’s golf league at Moss Creek Golf Course. She was a member of the Homettes Extension Homemakers Club and was a former member of the Eastern Pulaski School Board.

Survivors include her husband Donald Cotner of Winamac; son Steven [Mary] Cotner of Winamac; daughter Amy [Ato] Prado of Oxnard, California; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters: Patty [James] Hoffman of Winamac, and Ruby [Maurice] Cotner of Winamac.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Elmer and Effie Ruth (Geiger) Degner; grandson Benjamin Thomas Cotner; sisters: Vivian Degner, Donna DeLorenzo and Nila Degner; and brother: Dale Degner and Robert Degner.

No services will be held.
