Eddy P. Minnick

Nov. 15, 1948 — May 21, 2018

Eddy P. Minnick, 69, of Winamac, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Monday, May 21, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac. 

He was born on Nov. 15, 1948, in Logansport, to the late Frederick R. and Marr M. (Kistler) Minnick. Eddy was a 1967 graduate of Pioneer High School in Royal Center. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Winamac VFW Post #1728. On Aug. 23, 1975, Eddy married the late Margaretha Roza in Butano Canyon, California. He was retired from Plymouth Tube in Winamac.

Eddy was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching all types of auto-racing. 

Eddy was a beloved father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his sons: Jason Minnick of Wabash, and Nathanial [Kenneth Walter] Minnick of Alamogordo, New Mexico; grandchildren: Cammi and Bryce; brothers: Fred [Janice] Minnick of South Bend, Tim [Sandi] Minnick of Royal Center, and Brad [Kathy] Minnick of Winamac; stepbrother Richard [Marsha] Lehman of Pulaski; stepsister Carolyn [Ray] Brown of Elberfeld; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by parents Frederick R. and Marr M. (Kistler) Minnick; wife Margaretha (Roza) Minnick; brother Dave Minnick; stepmother Donna (Lehman) Minnick; and stepbrother Terry Lehman. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A military honors ceremony will take place at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Final disposition will be private. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Winamac VFW Post #1728.
