Dwight E. “Boob” Goble

Dwight E. “Boob” Goble, 83, of Winamac, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19. 

He was born on May 3, 1935, in Winamac, to the late Melfred “Pete” and Martha B. (Keplar) Goble. Boob graduated from Pulaski High School in 1954 and later served in the U.S. Army. 

Boob was a member of the National Rifle Association, American Trapshooting Association and Indiana Trapshooters Association (ITA). He was recently inducted into the ITA Hall of Fame. 

Boob was a lifelong resident and farmer of Pulaski County. He was a true outdoorsman who cared deeply for both his friends and neighbors as well as any type of animal. Boob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. Burial will take place at Paul’s Chapel Cemetery in Winamac. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski County 4-H Shooting Sports.
