Douglas F. Fox

Feb. 25, 1953 — March 24, 2017

Douglas F. Fox, 64, of Royal Center, passed away at 12:55 p.m., Friday, March 24, at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born Feb. 25, 1953, in Logansport, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Ringen) Fox.

On Sept. 20, 1986, he married Nancy Ann Busch. She preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2013.

He graduated from West Central High School in 1971 and Purdue University in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural systems management. 

Doug was a farmer who loved working with livestock and raising row crops. He worked in sales at Nichols Tillage Tools for more than 30 years.

He was an avid Purdue fan and enjoyed watching sports and being outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his “little” girls.

Survivors include his children: Erica S. Field [Mark] of Kewanna, Matthew D. Fox of Royal Center, Katy R. [Cole Callaway] Fox of Brookston, and Ross W. Fox of Royal Center; grandchildren: Jadyn, Ali and McKenna Field of Kewanna; brothers: Ray [Robin] Fox of Brownsburg, Rich [Marcia] Fox of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Ron [Laura] Fox of Star City; and sister Kay [Don] Allen of Francesville.

Visitation was 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Dominic Petan officiating. Burial will be at St. James Salem Cemetery in Francesville.
