Dorothy M. Fox

Dorothy M. Fox, 86, of Royal Center, formerly of Francesville, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Friday, March 13, at her daughter’s residence in Francesville.

She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Pulaski County, to Grover and Anna (Garling) Ringen.

Dorothy was married on Oct. 23, 1948, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, to William C. Fox, who passed away on April 18, 2011.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski.

Dorothy was a former resident of Francesville, residing there for 39 years before moving to Royal Center 22 years ago.

She retired from Eaton Controls, Winamac.

Survivors include her sons: Raymond W. [Robin] Fox of Brownsburg, Richard E. [Marcia] Fox of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Douglas F. Fox of Royal Center, and Ronald J. [Laura] Fox of Star City; daughter Kay A. [Don] Allen of Francesville; grandsons: Shonn [Chrissie] Fox of Greenwood, Wesley [Maureen] Allen of West Lafayette, Luke [Abby] Allen of Dayton, Jordan [Liz] Allen of Indianapolis, Matthew Fox of Royal Center, Ross Fox of Royal Center, and Taylor Fox of Star City; granddaughters: Lisa [Vaughn] Kubert of Dowagiac, Michigan, Erica [Mark] Field of Kewanna, Katy Fox of Royal Center, and Jessica Fox of Star City; great-grandsons: Kaiden Fox, Jacob Kubert, Justin Kubert and Cooper Allen; great-granddaughters: Sierra Fox, Jadyn Field, Ali Field, McKenna Field, Quinn Allen and Ramona Allen; great-great-grandsons: TJ Lillard and Tayvion Lillard; and brother John Ringen of Winamac.

She was preceded in death by her parents Grover and Anna (Garling) Ringen; husband William C. Fox; sisters: Emmaline Hoover, Georgia Lee and Marian Tiede; brothers: Richard Ringen and Clarence Ringen; and daughter-in-law Nancy Fox.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 16, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The scriptural wake service was held at 4 p.m. and the rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski. Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiated. Burial took place in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Winamac.
