Dorothy M. (Berger) Keller

Dorothy M. (Berger) Keller, 91, of Monterey, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born on Jan. 25, 1924, in Pulaski. She was one of seven children born to Jacob and Rose (Winter) Berger.

Dorothy graduated from Pulaski High School in 1942. She liked to attend barn and square dances; this is where she met Philip Keller, of Monterey. They married on Nov. 26, 1946.

After moving to Monterey she and Phil started raising their son Bill and daughter Marsha. Dorothy liked to can vegetables from their garden, and watch the birds and wildlife. She was a faithful member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by her son William Keller of Monterey; daughter Marsha [Michael] Daugherty of Winamac; brother Raymond Berger of Star City; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Philip; her parents; three sisters; and two brothers.

A time to gather with the family was held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 4-7 p.m. at the Odom Funeral Home in Culver. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Monterey. Father Bert Woolson will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Anne's Catholic Church or the American Diabetes Association.
