Dorothy “Dottie” A. Kline

Feb. 4, 1933 — June 6, 2022

Dorothy “Dottie” A. Kline, 89, of Winamac, passed away at her home on Monday, June 6.  

She was born on Feb. 4, 1933, in Hinsdale, Illinois to the late John and Lillian Jane (Oldfield) Vedok. On Feb. 23, 1951, Dottie married Lloyd H. Kline in Winamac. He passed away on Jan. 13, 2009.  

Dottie was a member of the Winamac First United Methodist Church.  She was a former member of Tippecanoe Twirlers and a local home-ec club.  Dottie enjoyed painting (oil on canvas) and camping. She loved her family dearly and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

She is survived by her sons: Terry Lloyd [Kimberly] Kline of Winamac and Timothy Lee [Kimberly Russell] Kline of Winamac; granddaughters: Brandi [Nick] Silver and Danielle (Michael) Alexander; grandson Justin [Lauren] Kline; sisters: Elizabeth J. Thompson of Winamac and Mary A. [David] Thill of Janesville, Wisconsin; brother Stephen [Sue] Vedok of Lombard, Illinois; seven great-grandchildren: Chevie, Lylah, Karsynn, Brenya, Lindy, Brooks, and Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Lillian Jane (Oldfield) Vedok; husband Lloyd H. Kline; sister Catherine A. Liddicoatt; brother John Vedok, Jr.; step-sisters: Lorraine Lockridge, Violet Faber, Anna Koekenberg; step-brothers: Michael Vedok, Sr. and Joseph Vedok; niece Gail Lynn Peark; and nephew Michael Vedok, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Winamac Cemetery in Winamac with Barbara Kleinofen officiating.  

Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Swinging Bridge Project.
