Deleda “Dee” Harris

Oct. 29, 1971 — April 11, 2018

Deleda “Dee” Harris, 46, of Kewanna, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend following a sudden illness.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1971, in Elwood, to Thomas and Doris “Darlene” (Sanders) Bryan.

Dee worked as a substitute teacher. She graduated in 1990 from Elwood Community High School. She was a member of Fellowship Church in Winamac and enjoyed fishing and playing bingo. She loved family get-togethers at Lake Bruce and especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Dee is survived by her parents Thomas E. and Doris “Darlene” Bryan; son Nicholas Foster; daughter Madison Foster; brother David Bryan; sister Melanie Hobbs; companion Jim Ingram; nieces and nephews: BreAnna Bryan, Josh Bryan, Aaron Bryan, Lacy Bryan, Kaleb Hobbs, and Chelsy Hobbs; grandmother Mary Lou Bryan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dee was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Ed and Ester Sanders, and paternal grandfather George Bryan.

Visitation was 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St., Elwood, IN 46036. There will be no formal funeral service. Cremation will follow. A funeral dinner will be held at the Elwood American Legion immediately following the visitation on Tuesday. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Dunnichay Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
