David F. Penicaro

May 21, 1975 — Aug. 14, 2015

David F. Penicaro, 40, of Winamac, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at his residence.

He was born May 21, 1975, in Knox, to Bradley and Cathy (Reinhold) Penicaro.

David, a 1993 Winamac High School graduate, who studied at Ivy Tech Community College, was a process manager at Plymouth Tube for six years. He was a former employee of Winamac Coil Spring in Kewanna for 16 years. He was also the owner of Penicaro Electric in Winamac and loved to spend time at work.

Dave’s hard work and determination in fixing what is broken reached beyond electric and mechanical challenges. He opened his heart to many, listened to their concerns, kept their secrets, and was always willing to give a helping hand or find a creative solution.

Some of David’s favorite activities were flying with his friend John Haley and practicing rodent marksmanship with his guns. He also enjoyed making memories by spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter.

He was a son, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and more to so many people. Dave will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Survivors include his son Spencer D. Penicaro of Winamac; daughter Alexis Marie Penicaro of Winamac; mother Cathy Ann (Reinhold) Penicaro of Kewanna; granddaughter Paisyn Marie Johnson; brother Steve Penicaro of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; sister Gina [Michael] Oaf of Royal Center; fiance Tami Tetzloff Bonnell of Winamac; and grandparents Clair and Betty (Hoffman) Reinhold of Winamac.
