Bonnie L. Wireman

Sept. 3, 1934 — April 3, 2015

Bonnie L. Wireman, 80, of Brook, formerly of Medaryville, passed away at 2:04 p.m. Friday, April 3, at George Ade Memorial Health Care Center in Brook.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1934, in Medaryville, to the late Vernie and Martha (Anderson) Wagner.

On Oct. 21, 1950, she married Gilford Wireman in Monon. He died Dec. 2, 2007.

Bonnie attended Medaryville Christian Church.

Bonnie enjoyed cooking and baking. She owned Bonnie’s Truck Stop in Grant Park, Illinois, many years ago. Most recently, she retired as a security guard at NIPSCO in Wheatfield.

She was an avid bird watcher and reader. She also collected miniature silver spoons.

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her sons: Richard A. [Roxane] Wireman of Hebron, and Martin J. Wireman of Gifford; granddaughters: Michelle Florence, Stacy Conley and Kimberly Wireman; grandsons: Ricky Wireman, Bradley Wireman and Matthew Wireman; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Nancy and Peggy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vernie and Martha (Anderson) Wagner; husband Gilford D.B. Wireman; and son David V. Wireman.

Graveside services will take place Wednesday, April 15, at 10 a.m. in Independence Cemetery, Medaryville, with Don Nedza officiating.
