Becky Felix

July 17, 1953 — Jan. 4, 2023

Becky Felix, 69, of Winamac, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Jan. 4 following a brief illness.

She was born on July 17, 1953, in Valparaiso, to the late James and Dorothy (Becker) Beach. Becky graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1971. On Feb. 1, 1985, she married Melvin “Buck” Felix in Valparaiso. They enjoyed wintering in Daytona Beach, Florida for many years. When they were home in Winamac, Becky and Buck would play Gin Rummy every morning.   

Becky was a former member of Tippecanoe Chapter #96 OES. She enjoyed flower gardening, homemaking and interior decorating. Becky was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Becky also cherished time spent with her siblings as well as her nieces and nephews.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.  

She is survived by her husband Melvin “Buck” Felix, of Winamac; step-daughters: Wendy [Joe] Fox, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Tracy [Brian] Sanders, of Indianapolis and Melanie [Ray] Stoll, of Winamac; grandsons: Cooper Fox, Luke Sanders and Bo Sanders; granddaughters: Olivia Sanders, Reese Sanders, Sidney Sanders, Danielle [John] Conway and Morgan Stoll; great-grandson Elijah Conway; brothers: Mike [Lynn] Beach, Dennis [Lois] Beach and Brian [Lisa] Beach; sisters: Lori [Phil] Mariani, Terry [Mark] Fussey and Connie [Sean] Pence; sister-in-law Kathy [Jeff] Hermanson; brother-in-law Ron Kuszmaul; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents: James and Dorothy (Becker) Beach; in-laws: Art and Thelma (Trapp) Felix; and sister-in-law Joan Kuszmaul.

Visitation was from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 8 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 9 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Pastor Dennis Beach officiating.

Burial took place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice or Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
