Argyle “Dean” Carr

May 28, 1934 — March 23, 2015

Argyle “Dean” Carr, 80, of Logansport, passed away at 6:22 p.m., Monday, March 23, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 28, 1934, in Kewanna, he was the son of the late Carl “Barney” and Ruth (Huey) Carr.

On Nov. 13, 1954, he married Betty Brown, who survives.

Dean retired in 1995 from the Logansport State Hospital where he had worked in maintenance for 42 years.

He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his beloved wife Betty; daughter Barbara Kelly of Pendleton; brother James Carr of Kewanna; grandchildren: Joe Hayden of Logansport, and DeAnna Hayden of Pendleton; and great-grandchildren: Ashton Coffman of Pendleton, and Bryce, Kennedy, and Lucas Hayden all of Logansport.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation was held from noon until the time of service at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel. Services were at 2 p.m., Friday, March 27, at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel. Dr. Horace Smith officiated. Burial took place at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
