Alice Lynn White

Alice Lynn White, 62, of Indianapolis, formerly of Winamac, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1955, in Hammond, to the late John E. and Florence (Brown) Hogan. Alice married Darrell Lee White on Nov. 8, 1975, in Winamac. Darrell survives.
Alice was a homemaker, caretaker and avid volunteer. She was a former member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She had been a volunteer for Pulaski County Human Services, Salvation Army and Association of Churches in Winamac. Alice enjoyed playing board games, watching old TV shows and caring for her cat, Patches. Family gatherings were very important to her. She was a positive influence on all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell Lee White of Indianapolis; son David [Megan] White of Indianapolis; daughter Sarah [Mike] Cleary of Indianapolis; sisters: Wendy [Dan] Kelly of Lafayette and Kathy [Rudy] Dees of Visalia, California; brother Mike Hogan of Kewanna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John E. “Jack” and Florence “Flo” (Brown) Hogan; daughter Mary Elizabeth White; and sisters: Janice Graham and Linda Federer.
Visitation was from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Pastor Mark Pilger officiating.
Burial took place in the Winamac Cemetery in Winamac.
Memorial donations may be made to Pulaski County Human Services in Winamac.
