Alice F. (Reinholt) Peterson

Alice Faye (Reinholt) Peterson, 101, of Winamac, passed away Friday, March 21, at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. She was born July 27, 1923 in Winamac to the late John W. and Jennie Fern Moore Reinholt. On Sept. 25, 1946, Alice married Donald G. Peterson. Donald died on Jan. 14, 1996.

Alice was a homemaker. As a child Alice help on the farm by milking the cows. She had worked as a janitor at the Culver Academy Beason Memorial Park for many years. Alice was a hard worker her whole life.

Alice was a member of the Riverbank Church and the ladies Aid of the church. She was also a member of the Lawton Christian Church. 

Alice enjoyed gardening and sold her produce. She was an avid fisherman in Florida and ice fished at Bruce Lake. Alice especially enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. 

She is survived by daughter Cathy Shedrow and husband Lane, Monterey; Clint and wife Althea Peterson   Alto, Georgia; sons: Charles and June Peterson, Winamac and Carl and Jo Ann Johnson Peterson, Winamac; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents: John W. and Jennie Fern Moore Reinholt; husband Donald G. Peterson; daughter-in-law Beverly (Master) Peterson; brothers: L. Jay Reinholt, Ora E. Reinholt, Rev. John Reinholt, Gerald R. Reinholt; and sisters: Flaura E. Clark, Agnes M. Straw, Gertrude A. Reinholt, Sarah K. Peterson and Viola J. Reinholt. 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 27, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Jon Peterson officiating.

Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition)

Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Community Church Bruce Lake.
