As the finer details of TorchFest are being finalized, the Town of Winamac was recently asked to be a part of it.
Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer requested permission to close a few downtown streets, Pearl and Main between Logan and Monticello, and Logan and Market between Pearl and Main, during the TorchFest, Oct. 7-9.
Councilman Tom Murray voiced his concerns about the roads being closed in a two-block area. He questioned if it would affect the businesses.
The roads would be closed from approximately 4 p.m. on Friday until Sunday afternoon.
Origer’s request was approved.
