Student enrollment positive for West Central

West Central School Board members heard good news regarding student enrollment during a regular meeting on Oct. 6.
Superintendent Don Street announced that the student enrollment is higher than anticipated. In September, the average daily membership (ADM) count of students occurred.
Street said during the count there were 825 students with 42 of the students coming from other school districts. Eighteen of the students came from North White, 16 from North Judson, one from Knox, six from Eastern Pulaski and one from Twin Lakes.
In February of this year, there were 815.5 students. In 2015, there were 861 students.
Street said there has been a decline in students from a handful of area schools including Eastern Pulaski, Twin Lakes and South Newton.
