Sheriff’s office welcomes new animal control officer
Residents will be seeing a new face traveling through Pulaski County.
Tammie Bachman was recently hired as the part-time animal control officer, taking the position from John Kleinofen, who is retiring.
Pulaski County Sheriff Jeff Richwine said Kleinofen will work with Bachman for a few weeks so she can become acquainted with the position.
Richwine said Bachman doesn’t have the experience that Kleinofen had. Kleinofen is a retired police officer from the Chicago suburb area. He was also an animal control officer in southwest Colorado.
Bachman will become familiar with state laws regarding animal control but she will not write tickets. Deputies will issue infractions.
Bachman lives in Medaryville.
