Francesville discusses generator options

Francesville town officials spent a meeting discussing what options they have in regards to a portable generator.
At a regular meeting, Monday evening, the council heard that their plans to purchase a small portable generator are going to cost more than they anticipated.
During a previous town council meeting, council members talked about spending around $500 for a small portable generator. It appears that the best generator for the town would cost about $1,000. The generators are used for the wastewater lift stations and various town buildings.
Council president Andy Durham said he spoke with Pulaski County EMA director Sheri Gaillard about emergency generators. The county has some available for use during emergency situations. He also mentioned that the county has a few military generators that could be used. Durham said he is unsure whether or not they could be used with the town needs.
The town will continue to look into fixing the generator they have and whether or not a military generator that the county has will work with their needs.
