No one was home when Winamac Volunteer Firefighters responded to a fire on Feb. 3 at 6:18 a.m

Fire appears to have been set

Firefighters are ruling the fire at 916 Agnew St. in Winamac, as having been set, according to Winamac Fire Chief Bill Weaver. 
On Feb. 3 at 6:18 a.m. Winamac Volunteer Firefighters were called to the home after a neighbor saw smoke. Firefighters arrived on scene at 6:25 a.m. 
On Feb. 4, state fire marshal Fred Sumpter and the Winamac firefighters investigated the fire. Weaver said evidence at the scene indicated that the fire was incendiary.
