Ambulance service to continue as it is

Pulaski County Commissioners were quick to put to rest a rumor regarding Pulaski County EMS being sold.
During a regular commissioners’ meeting on Jan. 19, it was announced that the county will continue to provide EMS to residents.
Commissioner Larry Brady questioned EMS director Nikki Lowry if a private ambulance service, Lutheran, that has recently bought Starke Hospital, has contacted her. According to what Lowry understands, Lutheran had contacted surrounding counties to offer better coverage to the west side of Fulton County such as Kewanna and Leiters Ford.
Brady said the commissioners have not been approached and he doesn’t believe that the county council has been approached either.

Commissioners agreed that this is not an issue.
