Francesville to review fire chief, secretary, treasurer compensation

A request to increase the compensation of the fire department chief, secretary and treasurer is being taken under advisement by the Francesville Town Council after a meeting on Dec. 21. 
During the regular meeting, fire department board president Dan Koebcke said the department held its election and all officers remain the same. His question is whether an increase in compensation can be made for the chief, secretary and treasurer because of all the additional personal time they put toward working on state requirements and paperwork.
Council president Andy Durham said the council would take the suggestion under advisement and see what can happen. 
A motion was made to table it until the first of the year.
